A negative value will make the filled area smaller by n pixels (see below), while positive value will fill in n pixels more. When enabled, a value of 0 means the fill stops at the border of the reference layer’s line. A higher value is more forgiving, a lower value is more strict when looking at those gaps.Īnother interesting feature in these settings is the Area Scaling option. If the bucket tool keeps filling your entire layer, make sure those gaps are closed properly – or play with the Close Gap value in the bucket’s Tool Settings. Very very good Hey there, the download doesn't seem to be working. The idea is that you draw your line art on one layer, but fill in your colours on another layer. If ur on pc/laptop and click the download button, above the title to the right Tanks. Then just branch out from there as far as you're comfortable.Manga Studio has a nice feature that makes colouring areas on another layer a breeze: Reference Layers. You probably know how that works automatically. So don't rush yourself or worry about how complicated stuff looks.

Heck, I learn new stuff all the time- I only found out about the color-picking in CSP because I stumbled across a tutorial, I didn't even know I needed it until I saw that! Manga Studio is a software application for the digital creation of comics and manga. You'll learn more and more over time, and what seemed really complex and scary at first will become second nature over time. My suggestion? Look up tutorials for specific programs, like "Manga Studio 5 Tutorial", or even more specific things like "3D in Manga Studio 5" or "Custom Brushes in Manga Studio 5" or whatever. :P You just have to learn the tools that work best for you. Not sure if I ever will do that much again, but it's there.

Use the camera rotate control (2nd from left) to revolve the fish around its center. 3d Object controls appear around your selected fish. Did you know Photoshop has some 3D capabilities? I didn't until a friend told me about it, and I've only barely touched it. In the toolbar, click the Select tool (pointer with cube). Just don't feel pressured to learn everything about a program. Just keep in mind it's Clip Studio Paint when it's a digital copy, Manga Studio 5 when it's a physical copy. Plus, it goes on sale for like $15 pretty regularly. It also supports all downloaded fonts, and makes drawing straight lines at any angle a BREEZE (which is a little more irritating and imprecise in Photoshop, IMO. Even with my love of Photoshop, I'll still pick Manga Studio instead if I'm working on a comic or want a comic-like look. I've never really used Paint Tool Sai, but I recommend Manga Studio very highly. (This is the button just to the left of the bottom-right button in the Draw group.) 3. Press the 'Flip Points Horizontally' button. When you paste a copied set of points, those points will be automatically selected.

Manga Studio's 3D 'puppets' are also a GREAT asset. There is a mirror function, so this procedure can be done much more easily: 1. The SAI Paint Tool supports pressure sensitive graphics tablets and offers full sensitivity, giving you exceptional control over design detail. I love it, and Photoshop doesn't have that as a feature. I love my photoshop to death, don't get me wrong, but Manga Studio actually has a beautiful color-limiting tool that lets you pick up to four colors, and restrict your color picking to just those colors.
